Folio 196: R. Walpole to Viscount Weymouth. Encloses correspondence with Pombal (ff.203-210) over William Bolts and his ship, now arrived in the Tagus. Bolts' disputes with his commander, Samuel Butler, and with the sailors. Pombal thinks voyage will end here and the ship, sailing under Imperial colours, will never get to the East Indies. Walpole is not so sure, as Bolts `is a very enterprising person.' Will continue his efforts to wreck the project.
