Folio 135: Viscount Weymouth to R. Walpole. Spanish government has agreed to the proposal for an international congress to be held at Paris for a discussion and settlement of the boundary disputes in South America, provided Portuguese government complies with four prior conditions. Weymouth hopes that Pombal, `who has valued himself so deservedly on the candour and uprightness with which he has carried on this negotiation,' will accede to this request.
