Folio 40: Viscount Weymouth to R. Walpole. Commends Pombal's moderation and good sense in the recent negotiations with Spain. Stormont and Grantham have been ordered to try to induce France and Spain to respond as Pombal wishes. Regarding Pombal's proposal for an international congress at Paris, this will be considered after Pinto de Sousa has formally submitted it. Walpole's information on Bolts `has been transmitted very confidentially' to the East India Company and he is to continue to report on the same.
