Folio 94: R. Walpole to Earl of Rochford. Encloses (f.96) copy of his letter to Martinho de Mello on behalf of Van Nes. Neither in this nor in the other pending matters, can he "receive any satisfactory answer, or any favourable expectations." Prince of Beira ill with fever, but reportedly better. Sir John Hort goes on leave, leaving Mr Hunter, "a very sensible and intelligent person," to deputize for him.
