Folio 186: Sir John Hort to Viscount Weymouth. His long discussion with Pombal over the Connell case, from which it seems that the decision will be an unfavourable one. Spanish expedition from Ferrol to the West Indies scattered by a storm. Other reports of Spanish naval and military preparations induce him to believe that they "argue rather the terrors of insufficient defence than the sober concert of deliberate hostility.".
