Folio 87: Count of Oeiras to King Joseph I. Although the magistrate of Oporto was within his rights in arresting the maidservant of George Wye, who was a prostitute and had previously been sentenced as such, he had no right to do so in Wye's house without permission of the Judge-Conservator for the English. She should therefore be immediately released and the Magistrate of Oporto told to avoid raising trivial disputes like this in future.
