Folio 254: E. Hay to Earl of Shelburne. Contents of a circular letter by the Archbishop of Evora to the clergy of his diocese regarding dispensations for marriages within prohibited degrees. Disgrace of the elderly and much respected President of the Court of Chancery for having voted in favour of the Ecclesiastical Court's jurisdiction in this matter, as opposed to the Civil Courts.
