Folio 89: E. Hay to Earl of Halifax. Forwards the memorial of the Oporto Factory together with supporting documentation (ff.139-84). Likewise forwards the Lisbon Factory's memorial with the relevant documentation (ff.119-21), and papers relevant to the lawsuit of Charles Dodd against a clerk of the Maranhão Company. The British merchants complaints of arbitrary seizures by the Portuguese Crown will be more effective if included in the general demand for redress than if presented separately now.
