Description

Folio 70: Consul J. Whitehead to Earl of Halifax. Is compiling an exact account of imports and exports from the records of the Customs House. The Oporto Factory's observations on the Portuguese Deduction of 1760, with the supporting documentation, has been sent toHay for transmission to Halifax, `the Wine Company being the capital obstruction of our trade in this place'.
