Folio 297: E. Hay to Earl of Halifax. Will renew his application on the overland-post from Lisbon to Paris via Madrid (ff.132, 237), although the Count of Oeiras, who originally reacted favourably to the idea (f.179), later reversed himself and said his government was opposed to it.
