Folio 277: Consul J. Whitehead to Earl of Halifax. Congratulations on news of the victories over `the savages in North America', of which he has informed the Portuguese, `and I have the satisfaction to find that they are properly considered'. Major-General Fraser having completed his share in the reorganization of the Portuguese army, intends to return to England soon.
Date and place: 1763 Nov 30 Oporto.
