Description

Folio 237: Earl of Halifax to E. Hay. Encloses copies of some papers from the P.M.G., concerning the proposal to establish a twice-weekly letter post overland from Lisbon to Paris and Madrid (cf. f.239). As Portuguese are still dragging their feet on this, Hay is to bring it up and press it with more insistence.
