Folio 199: E. Hay to Earl of Egremont. Arrival of the bulk of the Brazil fleets, and of a Maltese warship. Arrival of Mello e Castro, so hopes that serious negotiations on redress of British grievances can soon begin. Sir H. Frankland going home on 6-months sick-leave, and Hay will act for him in his absence.
Date and place: 1763 Aug 1 Lisbon.
