Folio 204: E. Hay to Earl of Egremont. His discussion with Count of Oeiras over the negotiations for the peace preliminaries, and latter's doubts, hesitations, and critical observations. But in the end, he has decided that Mello e Castro will be given full powers to negotiate Portugal's participation. Portuguese also anxious that their 1761 treaty with Spain (annulling that of 1750) should be renewed.
