Description

Folio 220: E. Hay to W. Pitt. Capture of the Courageux (74) by H.M.S. Bellona, and a minor complication which has ensued with the Portuguese Customs which he hopes to rectify soon. King of Portugal's charity to French sick and prisoners, to which French and Englishmerchants have also contributed.

Date and place: 1761 Sept 2 Lisbon.
