Folio 180: Sir H. Frankland to R. Wood. Portuguese ministers' uneasiness about threatening attitude of France (ff.157-71) and French demands for restitution of ships taken at Lagos. Count of Oeiras also worried about attitude of Spanish ministers; but hopes situation will improve if Princess of Brazil gives birth to a male heir. Hay doubts if France will have the capacity to risk another war for some years to come.
