Folio 50: E. Hay to W. Pitt. Count of Oeiras has informed him of a new treaty with Spain signed at Madrid on the 12 Feb. and since ratified. By this treaty the South American Boundary Treaty of 1750 is annulled, and all Portuguese and Spanish colonial possessions revert to their former state. Count of Oeiras's views on the Spanish ministry and neutrality. Hay's information is also mainly reassuring on this last point, although large quantities of silver have been sent from Spain to France by land, and no silver export by sea is allowed. Princess of Brazil reported to be pregnant.
