Folio 29: Sir H. Frankland to Robert Wood. Complains of the intrigues of James Grosett, (S.P.89/53, ff.209-215), who is trying to stir up trouble locally, as per enclosed letter (f.31), and threatening to publish the Factory's memorials. This can do no good and will only be counter-productive. Will try to keep things quiet, with help of the leading and most sensible members of the Factory, with whom he is on excellent terms.
Date and place: 1761 Jan 24 Lisbon.
