Folio 45: E. Hay to W. Pitt. Cannot recall in all his long residence at Lisbon any ambassador who has met with `such distinguished marks of attention and regard from the King of Portugal, the whole Court, and indeed from the whole nation in general.' Will cooperate closely with him. Naval news.
