Folio 130: W. Pitt to E. Hay. Forwards copy (f.132) of `a very strong Memorial' from the merchants in London trading to Portugal, on the detriment they have received from the Wine Co. of the Alto-Douro, contrary to the Anglo-Portuguese treaties. He is to investigate and report back. He is also to raise the problem with Dom Luis da Cunha, but on no account `to make use of His Majesty's name on this particular matter, or appear to have received any directions on the subject.'.
