Folio 65: E. Hay to W. Pitt. Royal letter of condolence on death of Infante Dom Antonio very graciously received by King Joseph. Far from plague raging in Portugal, as falsely reported, the whole country `has never been so free of sickness as this winter.' Death of Keene at Madrid on 15 Dec. His corpse may be sent via Lisbon for burial in England.
Date and place: 1757 Dec 24 Lisbon.
