Folio 299: A. Castres to H. Fox. Forwards urgent dispatches from Lord Tyrawly at Gibraltar. His interviews with Da Cunha and latter's pro-British attitude and assurances that Portugal will stay neutral. French and Austrian diplomatic reactions. Da Cunha has stoppeda Portuguese ship from taking cannon to France. Andrade Encerrabodes in disgrace, and transferred from Rome to The Hague via Paris.
Date and place: 1756 Aug 11 Lisbon.
