Folio 236: A. Castres to H. Fox. Spanish efforts to mediate between England and France. Arrival of a new Spanish ambassador, Count of Macada. Two long-overdue ships of Irish convoy now arrived, so all relief ships accounted for. 20,000 cruzados being distributed to Anglo-Irish poor from specie brought by H.M.S. Hampton Court.
