Folio 231: A. Castres to Thomas Ramsden. Congratulations on the victory of Culloden, which news has been well received by the Portuguese ministers. Has told them of Montfort's release and acquittal, but they are still resentful of his arrest and imprisonment in thefirst place as a breach of diplomatic immunity. They expect punishment of the JP and bailiffs concerned. Carvalho still at Vienna and not expected to return soon to London. Latest news from Madrid.
