Description

Folio 24: Charles Compton to Duke of Newcastle. Laparelli did in fact have orders to sell one of his ships at Cadiz, and it was at his own suggestion that Compton wrote to him (f.18). Hopes Newcastle will put in a word in favour of Laparelli with the Court of Vienna.

Date and place: 1744 Feb 22 Lisbon.
