Folio 204: Charles Compton to Duke of Newcastle. Has demanded the release of the long-detained Hanover packet-boat, but has not yet received an official reply. Diplomatic news. Encloses a recent letter from Azevedo (f.206), which plainly shows the Court is very much in earnest in pressing for the restitution of the Santa Roza and `will be very much dissatisfied if the ship and cargo are not restored.'.
