This news has also pleased the Portuguese, `who, a few of the nobility excepted, take all opportunities of expressing their dislike to France'. King John V still very ill, `but applies to business during his good intervals, with as much eagerness as ever, notwithstanding his physicians' remonstrances against it.'.
