Folio 59: A. Castres to Andrew Stone. Is cooperating closely and cordially with Compton. Arrived too late to send the promised port wine but will send some after the next vintage. Inferior quality of what is now available. Complains of his unavoidably heavy expenses `in a country where everything is enormously dear', and doubts that his income will be sufficient.
