Folio 57: Charles Compton to Duke of Newcastle. Does not think he can obtain permission to tranship naval stores duty-free and requests further instructions. King and the royal family gone to Caldas. Death of the Infante Dom Francisco there. Release of South Sea Factors imprisoned by the Spaniards effected through Dutch mediation. Hanover packet-boat still detained. Forwards letters from Cayley at Faro.
