Folio 55: Charles Compton to Duke of Newcastle. King John now much better and will leave shortly to take the baths at Caldas. Compton will not follow him there as Cardinal da Mota has told him he is not expected to do so. Provision of naval and military stores forGibraltar and his efforts to get them transhipped duty-free, as the Dutch are allowed to do, but Portuguese Secretary of State is stalling over this.
