Folio 141: J. B. Parker to Duke of Newcastle. Difficulties of Spaniards in manning their fleet, and latest intelligence reports from Galicia. Spaniards still stalling on the exchange of prisoners-of-war and his efforts to send supplies to the English ones in Galicia to prevent them entering the Spanish service. The Oporto convoy of above 30 sail will be ready to leave in a fortnight under convoy of H.M.S. Rye, which he hopes will prove sufficient.
Date and place: 1740 Nov 12 Oporto.
