Folio 135: J. B. Parker to Duke of Newcastle. Safe arrival of the Oporto convoy with H.M.S. Rye, Captain Lushington R.N. No need to send the additional orders on securing intelligence from Galicia as he has always done all he can in this respect. Latest intelligence reports of Spanish shipping and Jacobite moves, the latter probably only a blind. Agreement for the exchange of prisoners still hanging fire, pending authorisation from Madrid to Captain-General of Galicia. Reluctance of Capt. Lushington to receive the Spanish prisoners-of-war in the Rye.
