Folio 244: Sir John Norris and Lord Tyrawly to Duke of Newcastle. Interview with Guedes Pereira to whom they explained that King George II, while doing all he could for Portugal, could not separate himself from the other mediators. They also gave him reassurances about the packet-boat service, and think that Portuguese may have dropped the idea of starting one of their own.
