Folio 233: Lord Tyrawly to the Duke of Newcastle. Dispatch of Dom Luis da Cunha to Paris, and the possible reasons for it. French Consul and Dutch Resident have no wish to see the Spanish-Portuguese dispute amicably settled. Portuguese naval and military preparations. Difficulty of working with Sir John Norris, with whom he maintains a correct but cool relationship. Dispute over the packet-boat. Will take up later the memorial of the East India Co.
