Folio 63: Lord Tyrawly to Duke of Newcastle. Has delivered the royal letters (f.61) which were received by Portuguese King and Queen `with the greatest marks of distinction.' Sir John Norris came along and he and his officers are dining with Tyrawly to celebrate the occasion. King has appointed three ministers to act in place of the deceased Secretary of State, Mendonça, but has not decided on their respective duties, so all business is at a standstill. Encloses for the Queen's consideration a confidential and personal memo on the negotiations (wanting).
