Folio 18: Sir John Norris to Duke of Newcastle. In accordance with the orders received, he has renewed his cooperation with Tyrawly. Their joint interview with the King and the latter's abrupt exit. `Whatever menacing airs the Portuguese may give themselves', he is too well acquainted with their weakness and want of courage to think they would dare do anything against Spain without British support. Hopes squadron can be relieved soon.
