Folio 274: Sir John Norris to Duke of Newcastle. Has seen the Gazetteer's report sent by Lord Tyrawly (f.270), but does not think it is reliable. Encloses copy of his letter to Cayley (f.276). Will keep a ship at Cadiz to keep him informed. Has received two months'provision from the Admiralty and fleet is ready to sail at a day's notice. Advice-ship arrived from Brazil and reports of fighting between Portuguese and Spaniards at Nova Colonia, Rio de la Plata. Spanish squadron at Ferrol is disarming.
