Folio 260: Charles Compton to Duke of Newcastle. Very glad with Newcastle's letter of 17 July (f.254) conveying the King's approval of his conduct. The dispute has now been amicably resolved as per his letter of 15 Aug. (f.258), and requests Newcastle's approval.
Date and place: 1733 Sept 5 Lisbon.
