Folio 147: Lord Tyrawly to Duke of Newcastle. Details of what effects belonging to the absconding John Thompson (f.138) are in the hands of his agents at Lisbon and steps taken to impound them. Cannot help the creditor of the Marquis de Gouvea, as latter is not in Portugal, his family are flat broke, and any intervention by himself would only antagonize many influential people who are his friends.
Date and place: 1732 Jan 13 Lisbon.
