Folio 104: Lord Tyrawly to Duke of Newcastle. Thinks the Factory's fear of the Portuguese mob is exaggerated, `though many are certainly hostile and King John V `is far from having any benevolence towards us.' However, he has presented a petition for their better protection, which he expects will be effective and with which the Factory is satisfied (f.106).
