Description

Folio 100: Charles Compton to Duke of Newcastle. Release of all six men from H.M.S. Lively and their boat after some more difficulties. These incidents have raised so much bad blood, that British Factory have petitioned for protection against the insults to which they are now exposed in the streets, of which he encloses a copy (f.102).
