Folio 12: Lord Tyrawly to [Charles Delafaye]. Denouncing the Portuguese ministers as `stupid brutes', and the `people of quality' as grossly ignorant. The Portuguese will toe the line if they see `we are really in earnest.' Please thank Mr [Daniel] Preverau for sending the rubies, which he has received safely.
