Description

Folio 259: Duke of Newcastle to Sir John Norris. King entirely approves of his hard line with the Portuguese particularly in sending home Rear-Admiral Haddock with eight warships, despite the official Portuguese request that they should stay. Hopes his stay at Lisbon will not be much longer and that King of Portugal will act more sensibly.
