Folio 137: [Duke of Newcastle] to Sir John Norris. The Queen approves of the line he has taken with Mendonça Corte-Real. Decision as to whether the squadron should stay longer at Lisbon than originally envisaged, will depend on the King and on future circumstances.Meanwhile, care will be taken for provisioning it, and King John V can be reassured of continued British naval protection.
