Folio 264: Thomas Burnett to Duke of Newcastle. Rumoured at Madrid that King Philip is very anxious to abdicate but thought unlikely to do so until double marriages are effected in December. Arrangements for the exchange of the princesses. Spaniards boggling at restoring the prize Prince Frederick in America before the General Peace Congress. The Portuguese warships, Victoria and Lampadosa, have left with new governors for Mazagão and Madeira respectively.
