Folio 243: Jacinto de Silva de Siqueira to Thomas Burnett. Legal opinion with his further advice. Thinks Burnett is not entitled to bring the case to court, and only one of the prisoners seems to have participated in the murder. If it is desired to bring the case to trial, this must be done by the Envoy petitioning the King of Portugal and the latter ordering the Judge-Conservator to take cognizance of the case.
Date and place: 1727 Sept 5 Lisbon.
