Folio 235: James Dormer to Duke of Newcastle. Correspondence for and from Sir Charles Wager and Lord Portmore. News from Madrid concerning the prize Prince Frederick and final raising of the siege of Gibraltar. French and Spanish reconciliation. Mendonça Corte Realthinks the present Congress of Aix-la-Chapelle will produce a new diplomatic line-up with the Emperor and Great Britain on one side, and France and Spain on the other. Negotiations over the royal double marriages not yet concluded and French reportedly working against them. Departure of the Brazil Fleet. New Portuguese warship, Lampadosa going to cruise against Algerines. French naval squadron at Cadiz.
