Folio 233: Thomas Burnett to Duke of Newcastle. Capture of the Mary by the Spaniards and negotiations over its disposal at Lisbon. `Unaccountable obstinacy, not to say Quixotism of the Spaniards, in persisting to relieve their trenches before Gibraltar,' though to no real purpose. French, Spanish, and British naval movements. Perfect harmony between Courts of France and Spain reported re-established. Pretender's whereabouts in Italy. Infante Dom Manuel recalled to Madrid and reported secretly reconciled with King John V.
