Folio 231: James Dormer to Duke of Newcastle. Has transmitted George II's warm assurances of his desire to live in strictest friendship with King of Portugal and `the entire satisfaction which His Portuguese Majesty's behaviour at this conjuncture had given H.M.' Galvão has been charged with complimenting King George II on his accession. The affair of the Lake satisfactorily settled. Correspondence for Lord Portmore and Sir Charles Wager. Siege of Gibraltar not yet entirely raised but news from Madrid indicates all outstanding problems will soon be settled. Nothing new on the royal marriages. Congratulations on Parliament's unanimity in supporting new King.
