Folio 223: Thomas Burnett to Duke of Newcastle. Difficulties over the release of the ship Lake, finally obtained by an unprecedented act of royal grace and favour as per the enclosed relevant papers (ff.225, 227). Indications that Portuguese Crown may be `seriouslylooking out for an expedient for accommodating matters with the Court of France.' Cardinals at Rome reported nominated but Bichi not included.
